Daksh Rural Entrepreneurship Centre (DREC), is a organization of Daksh Foundation fostering an Innovation and Entrepreneurship with focus on Agro and Rural tech start-ups. It administers a business incubator which provides ‘Start to scale’ support for technology based entrepreneurship and facilitates the conversion of research activity into entrepreneurial ventures.
Overview
Set up in 2020, DREC is one of its kind innovation and entrepreneurship center in Washim District of Maharashtra. It is closely working in association with rural population and farmers to provide the solutions through technology interventions for thier most pressing problems. Beside this DREC has established the strong linkages with academia, research groups and SMEs with a potential to create startups focussing on economic growth, strategic value and social relevance. It provides incubation support to tech startups and also runs accelerator programs in corporate partnership.

45 Days 30 Entrepreneurs
During lockdown DREC mentored the 30 young farmers of Washim district in 45 days to become entrepreneurs and transform them into agro and food processing entrepreneurs. All the 30 farmers running vegetable dehydrations units with concept of Carbon Neutral and Organic Agriculture
